Abstract Two to three day workshop introduces the concepts of meta data management within the context of DataStage XE and takes participants through a scenario-based approach to exercising all aspects of MetaStage. The course promotes meta data best practices using DataStage, MetaStage, and the products and standards that are integrated to the environment. MetaStage™ is one of the three core capabilities of the DataStageŽ XE, Ascential Software's solution for enterprise data integration. Audience Course is highly targeted towards participants who have direct responsibilities for meta data management and ETL development as part of their job, such as Data Managers, Data Analysts, Data Modelers, ETL Team Leaders, ETL Designers, and BI Tool Administrators. Participants use MetaStage throughout the course. Course presumes that the participants have a basic understanding of meta data as it relates to information systems technology. Course Outline I.
